The road safety intervention is a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing road safety and reducing injuries through education, awareness, and community engagement. Implemented in seven cities—Agra, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Varanasi—the program directly benefited 35,000 residents and indirectly reached 175,000 individuals. Various components such as an Awareness Campaign with road shows, Signage Installation, distribution of Road Safety Barricades, and installation of Traffic Kiosks were meticulously executed to foster a culture of road safety and responsible behavior among road users.

Role of IPMS/CCSE

In its capacity as an implementing partner, CCSE (Center for CSR & Sustainability Excellence) takes on a critical role in spearheading the Road Safety Awareness project across seven (7) cities of Uttar Pradesh. 

Tasked with project management, stakeholder engagement and monitoring and evaluation endeavors, CCSE collaborates closely with an array of stakeholders to ensure the effective rollout of road safety initiatives. From identifying suitable locations for intervention and deploying necessary infrastructure to engaging communities and managing resources efficiently, CCSE actively contributes to realizing project objectives and promoting heightened awareness of road safety in partnership with allied organizations and stakeholders.
