      The pond restoration project focuses on the conservation, development, and sustainable management of natural resources in Tijara Block, Alwar District, with the goal of improving the livelihoods and quality of life for local communities.. The key initiatives encompasses raising awareness about the interconnectedness of water resource management, increased Trees outside forest (ToF) cover and the promotion of sustainable livelihoods. A total of 250 trees belonging to native species were planted around the periphery of the pond, aiming to control water runoff and enhance groundwater recharge. Moreover, 100 aquatic plants were introduced in the pond to improve the water quality of each. The pond restoration project significantly enriched the lives of 185 households of Dhaki village by fostering awareness about water importance, facilitating groundwater recharge and enhancing green cover. These efforts resulted in improved living conditions and environmental sustainability for the local communities.

      Role of IPMS/CCSE

      CCSE (Center for CSR & Sustainability Excellence)  played a pivotal role throughout the lifecycle of the pond restoration project which encompasses project design, development, planning, implementation and its successful completion. Its strategic expertise and meticulous planning was instrumental in ensuring the project’s success, contributing to effective water conservation, community engagement, and sustainable environmental outcomes.
