Fiinovation partnered with India’s only independent power producer and a forerunner in inducing clean energy, to map the socio-economic conditions of the families from whom they have acquired land for their 252 MV wind farm project in 36 villages located in Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli districts of Tamil Nadu. The prime objective of the study was to assess whether giving away land to the land-aggregators deployed by the corporation had caused any changes in the lives and livelihoods of the families and the pattern of landholding and land use in the intervention geographies.
