Fiinovation partnered with a well-known manufacturer of telecommunication equipment, optical fiber cables and intelligent power systems, to understand the impact that its Mobile Medical Units (MMU) have had on the communities in the intervention areas. The assessments were conducted in Goa, Solan in Himachal Pradesh, Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh and Sardarshahar in Rajasthan. The projects were categorically designed to reach out to the poor and to those who had limited or no access to basic healthcare facilities in the targeted areas. The MMUs consisted of dedicated teams including medical consultants, pharmacists, social workers and lab technicians. Medical consultations, medicines and diagnostics were provided free of cost. Each MMU was equipped with an ENT & Eye diagnostic set, an ECG machine, minor surgical and dressing set. The assessment study computed the impact the MMU had on 1.5 lakh beneficiaries from the marginalized communities.
