Fiinovation, in collaboration with Piramal Swasthya, is conducting a comprehensive Baseline Study for the Mobile Health Unit (MHU) initiative in Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh. The study aims to assess the existing health status, service gaps, and community needs to support effective planning and implementation of Piramal’s CSR interventions in the region.
This baseline assessment focuses on understanding the current healthcare landscape in one of India’s most remote and underserved regions. By collecting detailed ground-level insights, the study will help design responsive, context-specific healthcare strategies. The key components of the study include:
Assessing Community Health Needs – Gathering data on prevalent health issues, access to medical services, and healthcare-seeking behavior.
Evaluating Existing Health Infrastructure – Reviewing the availability and quality of health facilities, resources, and service delivery mechanisms.
Identifying Gaps & Opportunities – Highlighting critical gaps in healthcare access and identifying opportunities for targeted intervention through the MHU project.
Establishing Baseline Indicators – Creating measurable indicators to track future impact and monitor project outcomes effectively.
The baseline study will be completed over a period of two months, involving field assessments, data collection, stakeholder interactions, and detailed analysis.
Under the bi-partite engagement between Piramal Swasthya and IPMS, the IPMS team is responsible for:
Conducting on-ground surveys and collecting quantitative and qualitative data.
Engaging with community members, healthcare workers, and local authorities.
Analyzing data and preparing a comprehensive baseline report to guide future MHU implementation.
Through this baseline study, Fiinovation and Piramal Swasthya aim to create a strong foundation for delivering effective and inclusive healthcare services to remote populations. The insights gathered will enable evidence-based planning, ensuring that the Mobile Health Unit project creates meaningful, measurable, and sustainable impact in Dibang Valley.
