      Need Assessment

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Team at Fiinovation conducts need assessments to understand the key issues and challenges in targeted project areas or communities. These findings are used to develop projects, plan solutions, and design suitable interventions aligned with the thematic and site-specific needs of the community. Over its 11-year journey, Fiinovation CSR Consultancy has partnered with corporations like Godrej and Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., Mytrah Energy India Pvt. Ltd., IL&FS, and others to conduct such assessments.

      Baseline Assessment

A baseline study provides an overview of the current socio-economic and environmental conditions in project areas before implementing a development project or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) intervention. It helps compare programme achievements with the initial conditions. Fiinovation has conducted numerous baseline assessments, including one in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, for Mytrah Energy India Pvt. Ltd., which helped align their intervention for maximum community benefit.

      Mid-term Assessment

Mid-line studies analyze key socio-economic indicators during the middle of a project or CSR intervention. These evaluations provide insights and recommendations for course correction or alignment with established goals. Fiinovation has conducted mid-term assessments in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) for Laurus Labs, as well as in Barmer (Rajasthan) for IL&FS Skills.

      End-line Assessment

End-line studies are conducted at the conclusion of a project or intervention. They measure outcomes by comparing them with baseline scenarios, helping to quantify the results. Fiinovation has successfully conducted end-line assessments for Bharti Infratel and other corporations as part of its monitoring and evaluation portfolio.

      Impact Assessment

Impact assessments evaluate changes brought about by project interventions, measuring both short-term and long-term impacts at individual and community levels. Fiinovation has conducted impact assessments across sectors like skill development, education, health, and livelihood for corporations such as RSDC, Laurus Labs, HFCL, JK Tyre & Industries, Arohan Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd., Newgen Software Technologies Ltd., and Pipavav Railway Corporation Ltd.

      Social Return on Investment (SROI)

Social Return on Investment (SROI) measures the socio-economic and environmental impact created by an intervention against the costs incurred. It helps organizations align interventions for greater societal benefit. SROI has a broader scope compared to impact assessments, evaluating the overall value created for beneficiaries.

      Perception Study

Perception studies assess how targeted beneficiaries view and interpret CSR interventions and development projects. These studies evaluate the effectiveness of interventions in meeting community expectations and identify areas for improvement. Fiinovation has conducted perception studies for corporations such as CESC.

      Feasibility Study

Feasibility studies examine the practicality of proposed CSR interventions by considering factors such as financial, technical, managerial, political, and legal aspects. These studies assess the likelihood of successful project implementation.

      Socio-Economic Study

Socio-economic studies provide information about the social and economic conditions of targeted communities. Social data includes age, education, gender, family size, and caste, while economic data focuses on income, livelihood patterns, and expenditures. These studies help understand baseline conditions and assess project impacts. Fiinovation has conducted socio-economic studies for corporations like Mytrah Energy India Pvt. Ltd. in 30 villages in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.

      Skill Gap Analysis

Skill gap analysis identifies essential skills required for job roles and highlights shortfalls in skills availability. This helps corporations provide necessary training to bridge gaps. Fiinovation partnered with the Rubber Skill Development Council for skill gap analysis in Kerala and Tamil Nadu for workers in natural rubber production and has conducted similar analyses for other corporations
